DigitalBurn.org becomes a dofollow’er
Well I’ve decided to dive into the ‘dofollow’ pool and see how it goes. If you don’t know what that means, all it really means is that from now on, if people leave comments on this blog, they will have the ‘nofollow’ attribute removed from their link. I will trial it for a while and see how it goes. If it leads to rampant spamming I will turn switch the dofollow plugin off.
Edit: If I think your name looks like some keyword rich anchor text style thing, I’m probably just going to delete the comment.
Edit 2: I found a new, stronger, dofollow plugin, this makes it a little harder for spammers to abuse the comment system. It’s called Lucia’s Linky Love. Basically means I can stop filtering comments from “Cashmere Dog Sweaters”.

I’ve been no follow for a while and haven’t noticed any change. To be honest I don’t think it makes much of a difference unless you put yourself on one of the no-nofollow lists or blogrolls out there.. spammers are fairly lazy people and if they have to work to find a do follow blog they’re likely not to bother.

Glad you’re a dofollower! I dofollow on my review blog and think it increases comment frequency.
