Kim Thayil and the Guild S-100
If you ask me, there just isn't enough Soundgarden love in the world. That put out some awesome albums, and Chris Cornell still has one of the most impressive, and expressive, voices in music. With his solo album due sometime in June, I thought it was time to step back in time to see what Soundgarden related things I had in the 'archive'. I found this old picture of Kim Thayil posing with his rig from sometime in the 90's. As you can see from the picture below, he was a pretty big into Peavey.
I always liked the Guild SG style guitar he played, if I recall correctly I believe Guild credited him with single handily reviving that guitars life. I think those guitars are pretty hard to come by now, although if your lucky you might find one on ebay. Whilst the Guild is basically just as SG clone, for some reason it has always appealed to me a little more. Weird.

There are a couple of pedals there that I'm not all that sure about. I can make out the Boss CE2 chorus, and I'm assuming there is a Crybaby on his pedal board. As for the others, I'm not sure, they could be a couple of DOD pedals or old Ibanez style things. If anyone knows what they are, feel free to leave a comment.
