I think the DS1 gets a bad rap from a lot of "serious" guitarists due to the Cobain connection. I think for a lot of people it is their first pedal starting out, and it's a good choice. This was my first pedal that I had and it was just brilliant! I lent it out later in life and never got it back. That must have been one of my worst memory lapses that I have encountered!
